I'm skeptical. I recognize that immaturity as legitimate student responses.
They keep referring to Mr. Cook (http://moodle.org/user/view.php?id=835101&course=55) from Stone Ridge.
I'm thinking Stone Ridge, NY.

If you look at the map, you will see a lot of the students are from nearby towns.
Perhaps a prep school of some sort?

I called the teacher, David Cook, at Rondout High School.
He mistook Moodle.org for an online service, had all of his students create accounts, and they are to discuss topics here in this forum.
Frances will have to delete the posts, which may keep coming in because these students have been sent home with an assignment for the weekend!
I am emailing David links to services such as Ning where his students can continue their discussion.

hi there. i am one of the more intelligent students in mr cook's honors global class, even though my username doesnt sound too smart (my partner created that). as you could probably tell, we had some fun with the assignment that he gave us, but certain individuals began to take advantage of this and began posting pictures of poodles and cats with bazookas under the topic of pancho villa. we're sorry if any of this offended you or caused any issues with email overload. it hopefully wont happen again.
sincerely,
