K12LTSP is based on RedHat Linux and the LTSP terminal server packages. There are a lot of good reasons to look at installing K12LTSP at your school, in addition to the ease of installing Moodle. However...
A benefit of installing K12LTSP is that you do not need a big machine, it works installed on an older machine. This lets you get more life out of what you already have and start running Moodle with very little work.
Note: K12LTSP includes a lot of very useful software. If you use it for more than serving Moodle, you should install it on a bigger machine.
