Anyone interested in some custom development?

Anyone interested in some custom development?

Hi,

I'm interested in getting Moodle working as the basis of an appraisal tool in an office environment. Moodle's model is very close to what I'm after, but I think I'm going to need some extensions to make it work properly.

The most fundemental is the ability for 'teachers' (managers in this case) to be able to review a 'student's' (let's say employees) answers in summarry form and change those answers if necessary.

I'd also be looking to beef up the access levels and reporting, and a couple of other things.

I've put together a brief with more detail than this. Are any Moodle developers interested in taking on a custom project? Get in touch if you are and I'll send you more details.

Cheers,

Michael

Really? No-one's interested in taking this on?

Or maybe there's just a dearth of developers around at the moment irribarrea

Well, now, it's just occurred to me that the recently-reviving Data module could possibly solve your problem here ... what do you think?

If you think yes, then please contact me at http://moodle.com/development and we can discuss the details further.

Did someone else post to say they were using moodle for teacher appraisals recently? Or did I just dream that one up? wide eyes

Forum searches have not helped me. If anyone else remembers this this I'd appreciate a pointer.

Thanks Martin - Actually I emailed via the moodle.com form before approaching the .org forum, but had got no replies through that route either.

Just read the tracker entry about the data module - certainly the suggestion from p_stencel about fields that are student editable but require teacher approval before committing sounds in the right area, so long as the student has the option save the state of partially answered questions without submitting it to the teacher until they are satisfied that their answers are complete.

I can email you the brief for this project if you're interested...

Cheers,
Michael

You did?  I never saw anything.  Did you get a moodle.com ticket number?  Anyhow, yes, post or email the project brief.
