Hi
I've just tried putting the Inwicast thing (downloaded to day) onto a Moodle 1.9.1
All seemed to be well until you try to view a video. It is fine in IE 7 but crashes FireFox 3 and closes it down entirely.
Is it just us having problems with FireFox? Could be I'm missing a plugin or something but if so any ideas which one?
Thanks
Heather
Hi Heather,
I'm not sure that the problem comes from Inwicast. Indeed, it looks like a missing pluging in Firefox. Could you please tell us more about the video format (windows, quicktime, flash,...) that you used ?

Fabrice

Hi
one was definitely a .wmv, yes I know it is windows, but when most of your users are going to use Windows.....
The other was an .avi

Hi Heather,
For wmv files the Windows Media Plugin for Firefox is needed.
Avi files are not really suited for the web. Maybe you should consider to convert them to wmv or, better, to flash video format (flv).
To be noted that Inwicast Publisher free edition has an integrated converting tool that can handle this easily (plus it uploads the files to your Moodle Mediacenter automatically):
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=209267&package_id=260463&release_id=603930
You just have to use the "new video podcast" menu in the podcast manager.
Best regards,
Fabrice
