I wanted to take a moment and note that if you are using the current version of DragMath it is likely configured to provide MoodleTex export format by default. This will produce well-formed LaTex with the double dollars for parsing by the Moodle Tex filter.
An issue existed, however, in the parsing of n roots in that $$\sqrt[3]{a^3}$$ ( \sqrt[3]{a^3} ) was apparently posing an issue for TeX display in the old wiki and by ASCIIMath, which could be resolved by replacing \sqrt[3} with \root3 though that does not parse in the Moodle TeX filter ( $$\root3$$ ) but this would result in all other Tex be parsed correctly in the wiki.
This was really not a major issue for anyone but as we look at asciimath with fallback and featrures in Nwiki which should resolve the [] issues, it is very important to make sure that we identify any artifacts such as these that need to be addressed.
