Just have to tip my hat to Martin D. for his recent recognition as the Best Education Enabler at the Google-O'Reilly Open Source Awards. Woohoo!

We have all known for years that Martin is not only a great educator, but also a dedicated mentor and a tireless supporter of educators all over the world and it's so gratifying to see that others recognize it too.

It is a well-deserved pat on the back, Martin, for a man who has touched millions of lives. 微笑

I have always been really impressed that Martin is equally comfortable designing the technical details of a top notch system as he is with educational theory and practice.

Congratulations from Germany smile. You really deserved this award. Just look at the photo below. (Art Lader's students and mine in Mannheim, Germany last week). These young people would have never met if you hadn't invented Moodle. Art, I'm sure you agree.

Nice pic, Ulrike. That John Deere factory was very impressive.

You are correct, of course, about our students. I can think of so many great things that never would have happened without Martin and Moodle.

Congratulations, Martin and all Moodle teachers and students!

Here is another Moodle classroom. The students are giving speeches to each other in pairs. Is that Moodle at work? Notice the computers with webcams ringing the blended classroom. Moodle handles the classroom management, giving more time for energizing face-to-face activities. Cheers! 微笑
