Categories on the Homepage

Categories on the Homepage

I’m a little new to Moodle and need some help tweaking the interface.

Right now we have a long list of all the categories an courses:

2646963922_fc22261a5d.jpg?v=0

But what we would really like is something like this with just the categories visible:

2646963980_a26bcaf0a0.jpg?v=0

But I have no idea how to make that happen.

If anyone could give me some pointers how to make that happen I’d be grateful.

Front Page > Front Page Settings

Where it says "Front Page," select "List of categories" and deselect "List of courses" or "Combo List"

It's looking much better.

I don't know if it's possible, but does anyone know how to set up the interface so it starts with say, 3 categories:

Boston
Dubai
Faculty/Staff

in this case and when you click on one of those 3 it would lead to a combo list, but only for that category?
