The
ideal candidate will be an inspirational individual who wants to make a
difference and ensure that ILT/e-learning enhances teaching, learning &
assessment across all curriculum areas to further enhance the learning
experience for the students.
As Head
of Learning Technologies you will be responsible for leading the Learning
Technology Team, providing leadership to the curriculum areas to extend and
develop the use of ILT and to promote the development and use of learning
technologies and resources.
You
will join a newly established Quality Team who are highly focused on innovative
practice and high standards of teaching, learning & assessment. You will
work in conjunction with the Director of Teaching and Learning and will lead on
the development and implementation of an innovative ILT strategy. You will also
work with the Director of ICT to ensure appropriate technology is available to
support learners in both formal teaching areas and informal learning areas.
The
successful candidate will have an appropriate academic or professional
qualification to degree level or equivalent. You will have previous experience
of working within an education establishment as well as significant experience
of eLearning software packages and content design and development. You will
also be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of leading edge
training, development practice and eLearning developments.
