Systems Developer – Learning Systems Focus

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic person to provide technical expertise in the development, enhancement and maintenance of the institution’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and associated technology-enhanced learning delivery platforms.  This is an exciting time for Harper Adams University, as we develop our VLE platform to support both our existing curriculum and our brand new curriculum.

The new Systems Developer will be part of a small team which provides professional expertise and technical skills in the development, integration and interoperability of new and existing technology-enhanced learning solutions with a range of existing institutional services.

Ideally, you will already be experienced at working with Moodle or other online learning environments, but we will welcome applications from candidates who can provide evidence of strong web development and client/server scripting skills and who are willing to learn Moodle.

You will enjoy liaising with a range of stakeholders to help facilitate the enhancement of learning and teaching activities with learning technologies.

There is potential to use your web development skills in areas outside the VLE, and if you have experience with SharePoint 2013, that would be a plus.
