We critically balance and use blended online and offline approaches to ensure that the learning achieved is done according to both of our core teaching principles: Principle 1: Learning should be “Just in Time” – you learn what you need to learn when you need to learn it. Principle 2: Teaching should be delivered on “The Martini Principle” – your learning opportunities will be accessible Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere by use of sensibly blended digital and real-world media.

TDM has been delivering ESF, LSC and SfA-funded work-based learning qualifications since 2007.

The Role

This is a key position for TDM and you will be representing our company at the cutting edge of what we do. We want a passionate and inspiring ICT professional to join our dynamic team. We believe there is a synergy between education and the digital industries because we want our IT trainers to be professionals in the field who can inspire less experienced people.

You will plan engaging educational experiences that challenge and stretch the learner, motivating them to achieve outstanding results. The creation of online learning experiences that bring out the best in learners will be one of your central roles. You should be motivational and encouraging in the classroom; you should also be very thorough and methodical in your approach to marking learner’s work, providing them with feedback and carrying out all the administrative tasks associated with your role.

Flexibility is a central requirement of this role. Although the main focus is digital industries training, it is vital that you are prepared to take on a variety of tasks at short notice.

  • Ability to work in and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

  • Experience using Moodle, Totara and Mahara or other Learning Management Systems and e-portfolios.

  • An excellent standard of written English and Mathematical knowledge (Functional Skills).

  • Excited about curriculum and keen to invigorate TDM's Learning Management System with exciting and engaging lessons and content.

Desirable:

  • Training experience.

  • Experience delivering CompTIA, Microsoft certifications and other digital industry certifications.

  • Experience of instructional design and online course development.

Benefits:

  • You will form part of a small, focused, hard-working and friendly team.

  • We plan to grow quickly so you will have the opportunity to grow professionally.

  • Competitive salary.

  • 24 days holiday per year plus eight bank holidays.

  • Pension plan.

We anticipate that this post would appeal to either of the following:

  • Those who have worked in a technical capacity with a digital industry but who now wish to pass on their knowledge to young people starting off in their careers.

  • Those who are currently in an IT training role but wish to move to a more dynamic and growing company providing blended training programmes towards qualifications in the digital industries.
