Job offered: eLearning and Moodle Developer

Summary of position:
Improve International are looking for a full-time eLearning and Moodle Developer to assist in the development, creation and support of our group’s Online Learning systems and content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop online learning content for the company's various programmes
  • Build and administer Learning Activities and Resources using Moodle or third-party applications such as Articulate Studio and Storyline
  • Develop and implement CSS changes to key features of Moodle, such as the Theme, Activities, Quizzes etc
  • Support in the administration of the various Moodle sites
  • Support in the creation, uploading and embedding of video content
  • Take an active interest in new eLearning initiatives, such as HP5 and VR
  • To work as part of a team and meet deadlines
  • To undertake such other tasks as may reasonably be required

Skills, Knowledge and Ability: Qualifications and Experience:

Essential skills

  • A good level of written and verbal English is mandatory
  • Excellent working knowledge of Moodle
  • Experience of working as a Moodle Administrator
  • Good working knowledge of Articulate Studio and Storyline
  • Experience of elearning instructional design and content development

Desirable skills

  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of video creation and editing
  • Experience of developing and supporting Moodle Themes
  • Knowledge of SCORM packages
  • Experience of working with Moodle Mobile (App and/or Theme)
  • Knowledge of PHP within the Moodle environment

Location
The successful candidate will have the option of being based in our Sheffield or Swindon offices in the UK or in our Porto office in Portugal.
