The Application Developer will develop and customize Learning Management Systems (LMS) deployments for major national clients.
Role/Responsibility:
· Customize and extend platform functionality as well as integrating with other systems
· Seek innovative solutions for our clients
· Work with object-oriented PHP coding, including MVC frameworks
· Write SQL queries and work with MySQL/SQL Server databases
Experience:
· 5+ years object-oriented PHP coding, including MVC frameworks
· 5+ years working with MySQL/SQL Server databases and writing SQL queries
· Coding HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3
· Coding with JavaScript and jQuery; having a mix of framework and concept experience is a must
· Some familiarity with version control (pref. Git or Mercurial)
· Agile environment experience, with excellent communication skills
· Node.js experience; asset build point of view or beyond
The following skills are also highly beneficial:
· Knowledge of the Moodle LMS platform
· Drupal/WordPress experience
· Familiarity with SCORM
· Knowledge of Web Services, RESTful APIs
· Knowledge of Online Learning (eLearning)
