Job offered: Moodle Developer and Designer

Remington College Online is currently accepting applications for a Moodle Instructional Designer and Developer position at our Heathrow, Florida location. This position will provide PHP programming support for the development of customized applications, themes, modules, and courses for use in a Moodle-based learning management system. In addition, this position will be responsible for staying up-to-date on new developments in the Moodle learning management system and working with senior staff to implement new features when appropriate. This position will also be responsible for all levels of Moodle training and online course design training within the organization. The individual in this position may work remotely but will be expected to be present in the Heathrow, Florida, office on a regular basis. Therefore, candidates must be located within 100 miles of Heathrow, Florida.

Job Summary:

· Perform application development and design for online courses using Moodle .

. Perform user and quality assurance testing for applications and systems.

. Provide Moodle training and technical support to staff members.

· Research and provide recommendations regarding Moodle customization.

· Make recommendations regarding the design and themes used in Moodle.

· Assist and train faculty and staff in the creation of online courses and instructional modules that adhere to current instructional design practices.

· Assist and train faculty and staff in the use of software used for course development.

· Assist and train faculty and staff in the development of online courses, including training in various applications and learning theories.

Required Skills and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Multimedia, or the equivalent

· Minimum of three years of experience with PHP, Moodle, CSS, XTML, relational databases, information architecture, e-learning standards, and SCORM
