POSITION: Learning Environment Administrator (Moodle/Media)

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology/Academic Technology

JOB PURPOSE: Reporting to the Division Dean of Academic Technology (AT) this position will program, integrate, administer, and advance the College’s online teaching and learning environment, centered on the Moodle LMS. As a frontline liaison for IT, the incumbent will work collaboratively with faculty and staff in the planning and development of systems and services in support of web-enhanced instruction throughout the College. Additionally, this individual will be a key contributor in developing and executing initiatives related to web 2.0/cloud-based tools, new-media, social-media, and open education resources (OER).

TECHNOLOGIES:

Lead Responsibility: Learning Management System (Moodle), Streaming Media Systems, Social Media Integration (Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, etc.)

Team Responsibility: Open Education Resource (OER) Systems, Web Content Management (Drupal, WordPress, MediaWiki), Digital Asset Management, Web Conferencing

Skillset: Moodle, Presentation/Training, Instructional Design/Teaching, Graphic Design, Media Production, Media Streaming, Web Development, Digital Literacy, web 2.0, Social Networking, Project Management.
