In Moodle, we would like to have mandatory delays (delay times configurable) between certain lesson exercises. One way to do this would be to create a new activity type [like lesson delay] that could be placed into a course step between lessons where the first lesson links to the mandatory lesson delay activity and that lesson delay activity links to the second lesson. This would require that the mandatory lesson delay activity inherit all the traits of the lesson activity type (primarily link to upon completion and dependent on condition).

Another way might be to add a mandatory delay function to the existing Moodle lesson activity class. This way we could just configure the desired delay between existing lessons.

If you have other suggestions for introducing mandatory delays between Moodle lessons they are welcome to propose them.

The basic use case here is based around our lesson activities being based on day 1, day 2 day 3, etc.  Once a student completes lesson 1 we would like to ensure that he does not skip ahead to lesson 2 until one day has passed.
