Your role within the team

As the LMS Administrator, you will be managing the day-to-day and ongoing operation, maintenance, and administration of the Trust’s LMS system ‘Totara’ which is branded internally as LEAP.  You will ensure the digital learning platform is administered effectively and its capability is fully utilised. You will administer and maintain learning records and work with stakeholders maximise compliance levels.

As an expert of the system you will be answering and resolving technical issues related to the LMS by helping with the help-desk tickets. You will also provide admin support to the Learning and Development team. This will give you a lot of insight into different projects that King’s Learning and Development advisors and managers are involved in with different areas of the organisation.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

Helpdesk duties:

•       Responding to queries via email, phone, or face to face

•       Following up with users to ensure full resolution of issues

•       Providing technical assistance for questions and problems

•       Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems

•       Influence ways to increase LMS use

•       Diagnosing system errors

•       Setting up courses

•       Creating course pages

•       Upload eLearning

•       creating learning programmes and certifications

•       Administer and maintain learning records

•       Recording attendance

•       Testing and Quality Assurance

•       Developing system dashboards

•       Assign systems roles and responsibilities

•       Running reports

•       Training staff

•       Writing, editing, and revising training material

•       Analyse common issues to find solutions

•       Meet KPI’s


LMS service duties:

•       Maintain action/activity trackers where required ensuring that information is continually updated liaising with the relevant stakeholders to record latest action status.

•       Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure they are represented and kept informed on applicable developments.

•       Support the implementation of relevant L&OD policies, procedures and guidance.

•       Work collaboratively with the training team to ensure all digital content is uploaded, reportable and available in a timely manner for colleagues to access

•       Ensure governance and processes are in place to ensure quality of the provision and KPI’s are met.

•       Identify and communicate process and quality improvements and provide feedback on usage and enhancements
