MARTA is seeking a

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Salary Range: $42,716 - $64,074

SUMMARY
Delivers basic core training of the Authority's training/learning programs. Administers needs assessments in support of the Authority's goals and objectives. Provides assistance and advice to management and employees relative to training needs. Assists with the identification, design, and coordination of instructional materials and methodologies for the facilitation of training for MARTA employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Adult Education and a minimum of four years training and/or organizational development experience including one year consulting with clients to assess training and development needs and recommending interventions in response to identified needs; experience developing, delivering and evaluating training programs and providing one-on-one coaching. Must possess excellent communications and presentation skills with the ability to provide consultation to senior management. Must have demonstrated advanced computer skills in all primary departmental software platforms. In lieu of degree, directly related experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Individual with experience developing web based training courseware and Moodle certification preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work outdoors on flexible hours and split shifts throughout the MARTA service area.
