Expected Starting Salary Range: $38,206 - $52,533 (depending upon qualifications)

Full Salary Range: $38,206 - $66,861

Job Summary:

Maintain the network infrastructure for the core of the NMC computer network. This includes the physical network servers, virtual network servers, the network operating systems, the attached Storage Area Network (SAN), the backup subsystem (hardware and software) and the Fibre Channel infrastructure. Responsibilities include management and administration of online course management system (Moodle), college web server and related applications/systems and other Linux based network systems. These responsibilities require knowledge and programming of server, database and web applications.

Education and Experience:

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree

· Minimum three years experience in a multi-user environment.

· Experience managing Linux based network servers,

· Experience with relational database systems.

· Experience in local and wide area networking.

Preferred:

· Experience with Microsoft Windows server administration.

· Experience with some or all of the following: PHP, JAVA, PERL, SQL.

· Experience administering Moodle, Apache, content management systems, and streaming media servers.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time 40 hours per week salaried position which may require flexible hours for occasional evening and weekend hours during peak periods
