Job offered: Moodle Course Designer/Trainer (No Telecommute)

The Moodle course designer/trainer will be responsible for the support and training of Moodle for both onground and online instructors. 

The position is for someone full-time on location, no telecommuting.

The Moodle course designer/trainer will work closely with the instructor to design engaging courses and reference materials using industry best practices. 

The Moodle course designer/trainer will create course materials using various technologies (video, power point, Adobe Connect, flash, etc.).

The individual needs to have a technical background and expert in the inner workings of Moodle.

He/she is responsible for:

  • All Moodle Administration functions to support.
  • Management of Courses, including but not limited to; updating course properties, creating courses and enrolling users via enrollment keys and/or batch processing, course utilities ie import, export, archive, restore, etc, course configuration options, group(s) and site hierarchy management.
  • Provide support to stakeholders and internal teams in the area of multimedia storage, course cloning, coping, backing-up, retrieving and setup processes.
  • Configure, management and documentation of Reporting Environment and all custom reports.
  • Monitoring of system effectiveness in satisfying user needs.
  • Working with end user support services (Help Desk) for roll-out, issue resolution and quality user experiences.
  • Consult on Instructional Design solutions to best meet the learning objectives.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software.
  • Participation in special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Flash, Articulate, Media (MP3, MP4, Video) and other file types/programs used for eLearning.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Education Media and Technology, or related degree.
  • Ability to think and work independently in a fast-pace demanding environment.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to make independent judgments/decisions within established guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and support skills.
  • Flexible availability.
