Job offered: Moodle Support/Helpdesk Contractor

Trinity Washington University is seeking a Moodle Support/Helpdesk Contractor for an immediate 90-120 day commitment working on Trinity’s campus in Washington, DC. Some evening or weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • support faculty members (and the occasional student) with the use of Moodle, including
    • one-on-one assistance
    • responding to and resolving helpdesk tickets
    • phone support
  • create and maintain Moodle documentation and a variety of training materials accessible to users of widely-varying computer competence

Requirements:

  • Completely proficient in Moodle 1.9
  • Proven and friendly communication, training, and customer service skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, basic HTML, and use of computers & internet
  • Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred)
  • Strongly preferred: higher education experience
  • Strongly preferred: proficiency in CSS, advanced HTML, JavaScript, PHP and other common web technologies
