Faculty of Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education
User support for communication and
learning platforms

Work across the Faculty on computer supported
platforms for collaborative learning, blended learning, information
dissemination and processing, and knowledge management
Provide
technical and administrative support to study programme, administration and research project needs as well as to users of
the e-learning platform Moodle, an Open Source Course Management System
Activities
- Administer the Moodle platform for the
faculty, including update on a regular basis.
- Train students, teachers and administrative
staff how to use the platform
- Act as the helpdesk of the faculty Moodle
platform
- Examine and test new extensions in the Moodle
platform of the faculty, in cooperation with the local IT support.
- Support the implementation of the semester
course evaluations (in Moodle) for all faculty programmes
- Monitor the use made of Moodle in the various faculty
study programme
- Conduct and maintain an inventory and
monitoring of all other types of platforms used in the various faculty study
programmes
- Liaise with the internal Moodle working group
as well as IT support regarding updates of user guides and procedures
Profile
- Higher Education Degree
- Good knowledge and keen interest in
new technologies
- Experience with web-based course
management and/or content management systems
- Practical experience in providing
on-the-job training would be considered an asset
- Excellent command of at least two of
the following languages is indispensable: English, French, German.
- Good communication skills
- Service-minded and ability to manage
priorities and work proactively
- Well-organised, autonomous and
rigorous
- Good team player and ability to work
collaboratively in a multicultural environment
