Job offered: Instructional Design Specialist

Location: Torrance, CA

We are looking for a mid level and talented Instructional Design Specialist, Part -Time to work at the forefront of our e-learning development and design in our pediatrics department. Working hours are flexible.

  • Supporting and maintaining the on-line Pediatrics E-Learning environment (Moodle) through training
  • Designing and developing web-based instructional material
  • Evaluation E-Learning effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative measures
  • Project management of E-Learning content development
  • Ensure that all E-Learning content is consistent, easy to understand, and well organized
  • Proofreading and editing E-Learning content to improve quality, readability, consistency/effectiveness of material, Ensuring timely identification and resolution of E-Learning problems and issues

Job Requirements:

  •  Minimum Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or Development or related education is required. 
  • Three (3) years of instructional design and/or technical writing, experience working with post-graduate residents and fellows strongly desired.
  • Project management, instructional design concepts/principles, multimedia authoring tools, and SCORM skills.
  • Curriculum and course development, delivery and presentation skills.
  • High attention to detail, ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly and accurately.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal directions as well as part of fast paced member of a team
