 Description of Job Duties

1. Maintain and develop dynamic departmental web site.

2. Ensure web pages are in compliance with University standards for use of logos, icons, colors and legal requirements for web site usage and security.

3. Provide software support in a team environment for a Moodle based learning management system to include: project planning, analyzing, diagnosing, maintaining, upgrading, migrating, and troubleshooting departmental web application in areas such as browser compatibility, source documents, hardware requirements, and interfaces to database system.

4. Support multimedia goals for university clients to include taking photos, creating video, adding audio and uploading multimedia to the web.

5. Provide technical expertise to faculty, staff, and students to include migrating developed online e-learning training courses from a test environment to a production environment, ensuring proper configuration settings, troubleshooting and problem solving any training issues.

6. Maintain excellent customer service by interacting with training participants using an online ticket system on a daily basis, providing user assistance and user training.

7. Provide reports to management on progression and completion of projects.

8. Perform other duties as assigned.

 Periodic:

 1. Conduct project management meetings with clients to assess needs and objectives as well as define project scope, goals, deliverables and time-lines and execute project to completion.

2. Research new software and technologies as they relate to a web-based LMS and recommend appropriate improvements.

3. Create ad-hoc reports using SQL.

4. Assist Sr. Systems Administrator and Instructional Designers and other staff in accomplishing goals for clients.

5. Serve as a backup for Sr. Systems Administrator.

6. Assist in training assigned personnel.

7. Plan, manage and execute projects. 

 Required Education  - Associate's Degree; will accept additional experience as a substitute for education on a 2 for 1 basis (2 years experience = 1 year education) 

Preferred Education - Bachelor's Degree - Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or related technology field. 

 Experience and Other Skills Required

Two years experience in analysis and systems design.

Two years programming experience coding PHP.

Two years experience using SQL to retrieve meaningful data from relational databases.

One year technical experience working with HTML, CSS, and Javascript creating and maintaining dynamic web pages.

Communicate effectively and work with variety of internal department staff and training clients.

Excellent organizational, problem solving, written and communication skills.

Professional demeanor required including punctuality.

Work with little or no supervision. 

 Other Skills Preferred

One year technical experience working with Learning Management Systems preferably Moodle.

One year experience working with Adobe Dreamweaver or similar web design tool.

One year experience maintaining and overseeing an online ticket system.
