MOODLE Stands for "Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment." Moodle is an open source course management system,  it is used by thousands of educational institutions around the world to provide an organized interface for e-learning, Distance Learning, On-Campus Learning,  or learning over the Internet. Moodle allows educators to create online courses, which students can access as a virtual classroom.

To be considered for this position you MUST have had extensive experience in using & administering the Moodle software in FE or HE environments OTHERWISE PLEASE DO NOT APPLY since we do not consider any other IT work experience is relevant for this position. This is NOT a vacancy for OFFICE administrator !!

 ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Extensive Moodle Support & Administration & Development

* Previous 3rd Line Application Support

* Excellent LAMP (Linux, Apache,  MySQL, PHP)

* Application Support, Configuration & Installation Experience

The ideal Moodle Application Support analyst will prefer open source administration & support as their main daily duties as this role would not suit someone that is more suited to open source creation or development  although their will be a small amount of plug-in development needed on an ad-hoc basis.

Ideally you will have knowledge and experience on other open source applications such as Mahara, Wordpress & PHP although most of your daily duties would involve supporting our clients Moodle Virtual learning application.
