Located in the heart of Croydon, a larger London borough with a vibrant cultural and social scene, we offer a stimulating working environment in our well regarded College.

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and customer focused E-Learning Officer to join our E-Learning Team. Your objective will be to assist in the support, maintenance and training of Moodle, the College’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), ensuring that it supports the current and future online teaching, learning and assessment needs at Croydon College.

Specific responsibilities include; operating a Moodle helpdesk to solve user and student problems; administrative tasks to help maintain a well organised system; data collection and processing; providing regular training to help develop both technical and pedagogic understanding of the VLE and the creation of training material and resources to support the development of E-Learning in different departments throughout the College. Working closely with members of the wider ICLT division, this role offers the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of E-Learning, serving 8,000 students and 500 staff.

You should be educated to HND level or equivalent, ideally hold a professional qualification in Education, have experience of working with a VLE and building educational resources. You should have a comprehensive understanding of Moodle administrative processes, different learning needs of students, building online courses and experience of training to suit a range of different audiences.

Strong communication skills, teamwork, flexibility, the ability to independently solve problems and the ability to apply newly acquired skills and knowledge to complex IT projects are essential.
