LOCATION: Davey Way, Gloucester GL2 2AQ.
DESCRIPTION:
This is an office-based
role and we do not offer remote working so applicants must live within a daily
commutable distance.

Due to continued success
the company is looking for an experienced Web Application Hosting Engineer, whose responsibilities would include:

Planning,
testing and performing the installation, upgrading and migration of Moodle /
Totara LMS web applications.
·
Maintaining
and supporting the web hosting infrastructure.
·
Troubleshooting,
root cause analysis and problem solving, including performance optimisation.
·
Performance
and vulnerability testing of new and existing systems.
·
Developing
and advising on the web hosting strategy.
·
Providing
mentoring for other team members.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate
will possess the following:
4+ years experience of:
·
Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP
system administration.
·
LAMP server troubleshooting
and performance tuning.
·
Web hosting control panels
including WHM/cPanel and Plesk.
·
Web application installation
and maintenance.
Highly Desirable Technical
Skills:
·
Moodle / Totara LMS
installation, upgrading and troubleshooting.
·
AWS / Azure or other cloud
hosting platform.
Desirable Technical
Skills:
·
Windows Server, IIS, ASP/ASP.NET
system administration.
·
PostgreSQL system
administration.
Non-Technical Skills:
·
Risk management - the ability
to identify and highlight risks and to suggest mitigations steps.
·
Sound knowledge and
awareness of information security and data protection.
·
Problem-solving -
application of logical and effective problem-solving approaches.
·
Analysis skills - ability
