Are there any Moodle coders out there who have experience
working with Moodle + WooCommerce Integrations, and do not charge $500 an
hour?!?!?. The only person I know who is really good with the coding and always
gets the job done correctly, charges me no less than $800 per job, even for a
small one night job.
I currently have a small job I need done and I'm tired of
paying this guy what he thinks he deserves...I'm sorry but spending three hours
on a project doesn't entitle you to hundreds and hundreds of dollars...maybe if
you're working for a huge corporation, they can afford to pay you that kind of
money. But I can't afford that. I run a small online business that brings in
income, but not millions of dollars per year.

If anyone is out there reading this and is experienced
with Moodle and Wordpress/WooCommerce/VPS/DigitalOcean type of work, and wants
to come on to my companies team as our coder/web developer working with us on
small - medium sized projects through out the year, please do contact me. I'm
talking once every couple of months, this is not a full time job or even a part
time job.
This is just me having someone I can contact when I need
some work done here and there throughout the year.
I know I'm complaining about coders charging too much,
but that doesn't mean I'm some cheap business guy who won't pay more than
minimum wage....that's not what I'm saying at all. I respect coders and the
work they do, and I believe they should be paid fairly for the work they do.
Currently, I can afford about $35 an hour for your time. Currently I have a job that I
need done, and I'd expect it to be about 3-4 hours to complete at max. That's
$140 dollars in your pocket for 3-4 hours of your time. Am I being cheap and
expecting too much? If I am, well then I don't know what to say, but last I
remembered, $30-$40 an hour was a damn good paying job, especially for a job
that demands zero physical labor.
My company is in desperate need of someone to do our
coding/web development. If you think you could be that person, you WILL be
taken care of while working for
me.
- I will pay anywhere from $30 - $40 an hour, we can
negotiate a price.
- I will always be crystal clear in communicating what I
need done, and when I need it done by.
- I will not rush you, I will not talk down to you, I
will not disrespect you.
- I will refer you to other business associates when they
are in need of a coder
- I'll even send you a Christmas bonus every year
(seriously)
As of right now I need a small job done to my moodle
site, probably 3-4 hours of work if I had to guess. This would be a good start
to see if I can find someone who really knows what they are doing.
Qualities I'm looking for include:
1. Experienced with Moodle + WooCommerce/Wordpress
integration type of coding
2. Does honest work, does not do half ass work. In other
words, you do things by the book and do not take shortcuts or make
"temporary" fixes. When something is broke, you find out what caused
it and fix the root of the problem, don't just patch it up so it works
temporarily, fix it correctly so it works forever and doesn't break again.
3. Adheres to schedule. I'm not ever going to rush you, I
understand everyone has their own life and things they have to do, but if I
need something done in a week, I would expect it to be done in a week. If you
know that you'll need more time, then tell me beforehand, don't take the job if
you know you won't be able to have it completed in time. I'll be fair and
honest with you if you're fair and honest with me.

you. If you ask me to hire you and you end up breaking the entire website, that
will result in me losing money, losing customers, getting bad reviews, and
potentially losing my license to sell the type of courses I sell. So if that
happens, trust me when I say this, there will be refunds and disputes. Don't be
a shitty person, the world is full of them enough as it is. So just don't even
let that happen, if you're not a good coder and don't know what you're doing,
just don't even respond to this post or contact me directly, it'll be a waste
of time for both of us.
