The use of e-learning to teach and train horticulturists is not a new thing, but the use of online learning in horticultural education and training has expanded and developed significantly over recent years. Leigh Morris outlines the strengths of this approach, reviews some of the courses available and sets out his vision for the future. He also talks about the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh's decision to use Moodle as their VLE of choice.
