Thanks Franc, appreciated your assistance.
meanwhile you are re-working on the theme, do have a look at the blocks dock/minimize buttons as well, their dark color kinda hides in the default background color of the theme

Bas, I have had experienced the same thing on first instance, what I did was turned on the EDIT mode, and manually dragged the navigation block to RIGHT most side. it helped for me, give it a try and lets see it works.
Julian, for slide show images, its documented there to be 256x256px, what about if its background image? what recommended size is to be used on Fixed-Narrow width?
Sam, you may want to read this for assistance (Tip Three – Links in New Windows)

Derek, Like I mentioned, I haven't had the opcache enabled on my webserver to make the full out of Moodle 2.6 despite requested to the webhost, it may as well be that my working sites are on Google's Page Speed whilst test site in on bare server without any CDN, so it may have seemed slower.
The Administration menu opening slow did made me frown for a sec until I read Julian's comments about this thing to be integrated into 2.6.,
So, I am cool and switching to 2.6 shortly.
