If you install this plugin, there is a new option on the quiz settings form, and
if the teacher turns that on, then when a student tries to start a quiz attempt,
they will see a statement about plagiarism and cheating, and they will have to
agree that they will be good before they are allowed to start the quiz attempt.

This quiz access rule was created by Tim Hunt at the Open University. It can be
used with versions 2.2 of Moodle, or later.

Hi Tim, it's good to hear that you can use multilang texts. But where can I edit the text for "Students cognisance of plagiarism policy"? Couldn't find the plugin setting in the admin/plugins section nore was there a button at the activity settings "Extra restrictions per attempt" section.

    Best regards, Simon

@Claudio, the student's quiz attempt is only created after they have agreed to the statement, so the fact that the attempt exists (which can be seen in the quiz reports and the logs) is the record.

    Hi @Irith,
Simply to check the basics, have you followed the instructions fully in the Readme.txt? Once installed, you need to go to the Site administration -> Notifications page for the plugin to fully install itself.

I have installed the plugin and it works well. Thanks guys.
Would it be possible to show the text in BOLD and it would also be great if it can be edited.

    Thanks again.

    Good day @Chris and @Tim
Is the current version of this plugin compatible with Moodle 4.1? Thank you for this very valuable plugin, especially since everything has been online/hybrid.

Almost certainly yes, but we have not formally tested it and marked it compatible. If you are able to test it, let us know if it works.

Turns we we did need updates for 4.2, so new version now released. Works with all 3.11 to 4.2.

    Hi Tim

We have been using this Plugin for quite a while. After the update to Moodle 4.1 we received a bug report from a user that the messagge to the student was only displayed in English, not in German, even tough the student had German selected as a language. I could reproduce this even though we have customized the string "honestycheckstatement" with a German sentence. Is it possible that the customisation does not work for this string?

    Best,
    Antonia

All I can really say is that this plugin does not do anything special with that language string. It should work just like any other language string in Moodle. https://github.com/moodleou/moodle-quizaccess_honestycheck/blob/main/rule.php#L59. Good luck working out what is going on. (I assume you have tried all the obvious things like clearing caches.)
