Global search

Trying to change "courses" to another word. Search results are much different from anything that I have seen. When I add the new word and save it does not replace the word on the screen.

Hello I am using moodle 3.9 and wondering if there is a plug in or plugins that can be used to create a word search or a crossword that can be used for an assignment within a lesson. I am looking to change things up as to not only have questions , essays or quizes as an assignment. Thank you in advance Lisa

Hi, I think the ability to filter and search the question bank is a key feature for large banks. Please, consider the integration of the already existing local plugins that add options to question search: * Search Questions * Question bank unused questions * Question search by question type Adding a "qtype" or word search on question names, stem or options (or any of them) as an integrated feature of the bank.

Isn't this standard boolean search though? If you put "active learning" including the inverted commas, does it not then search for the phrase rather than the individual words - effectively the same way Google, and other search engines do? For example, if I search on here (moodle.org) for the term GLOBAL SEARCH I get around 20k hits, for everything with the word 'global' and everything with the word 'search' in it. But if I search for "GLOBAL SEARCH" I get around 3.5k, with only those articles...

Team.. In need of assistance please. I have enabled the "Simple Search" onto one of our Moodle sites Utilising Edwiser RemUI, (Latest Moodle Version). The Search Engine is set as "Simple Search", I have Re-indexed everything, enrolled myself into a course, found some text for a test search, and the search engine is not finding it.
