by Paul Vaughan.

Thanks Alex, It's not that that the problem this block fixes happens often, but now Moodle admins can fix it as well as the DBA.

by Ed de Tollenaer.

Thank you so much for this. We had the cache problem for the first time now and rebuilded the course cache with a SQL query. This solution is so much easier
I wonder how this can happen though.

by Anthony Borrow.

Alex - Many thanks for sharing this tool with the Moodle community. This is particularly helpful for those who might be affected by https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-36789. Please consider creating either a Moodle Docs page or a wiki page for documentation under Github. The disclaimer text should probably be clearer up. Currently it says:

"This tool with Rebuild the Course Cache"

I suspect it should say will instead of with. Also, you may want to make clear that it will reset the course caches for all courses on the site and on large sites this may take a while. In terms of improving the tool, I wonder how hard it might be to allow the admin to select which course(s) they want to rebuild.

Peace - Anthony
