Hi Nikola - it looks like you've clicked on a link to a File resource that happens to be a web page. I'm not sure where the reference to Moodlerooms comes from, but this issue doesn't appear to have anything to do with Folder View. I'd recommend that you look for assistance on the Moodle forums.

Hello, I read this and I think there is somebody that can help me with my problem: I have an existing course that is created in moodle:
the main page of the course has the link:
http://mojdomen.com/course/view.php?id=2.
But, when I Click on an link inside the course it totally convert their look. The new look is created as html and the link in browser is now:
http://mojdomen.com/file.php/2/Html/Module01_Urban_development.html
I saw in the comments of @Kriss Stoking that he wrote about some moodlerooms releases with the same link as mine, so is there somebody who can explain me how to connect these two things?
Actually I need to create content with already created html website. It looks as somebody was imported whole site into moodle, but the difference is the new look is as the moodle is redirected to some other content, but it isn't, everything is in moodle borders ,as the links shows.
Whether somebody can help me? Thanks in advance, Nikola

A new version of this plugin for Moodle 2.9 has been uploaded to the plugins repository. Corresponding repositories on Github have also been updated. There are no known issues with the new version at this time, but if you do experience a problem please ensure that you submit any issues to tracker.moodle.org.

Hi, Jeff. Folder View is still in active development but our upgrade schedule is half a year behind Moodle's release schedule. We're preparing now to release a 2.8 version. A 2.9 version will follow a bit later in the year.

Kris? Quick question: I just upgraded to Moodle 2.9, and the Folder View plugin seems to be kicking out all kinds of errors. Ultimately, when I turn editing on for a course, I get a fatal one: Class 'collatorlib' not found in /home/zzz/public_html/moodle/course/format/folderview/renderer.php on line 509.

Is the plugin still being developed for later versions of Moodle, or should I reset my courses to use a different format? Thanks!

Hey Kris! Love the folder views for my topic-oriented courses, but I've got a small issue that probably doesn't qualify as a bug. I'm using the "orphaned links" hack to enable me to add custom icons to Page resources that better reflect their content, rather than the generic Page icon in Moodle.

In other words, I have a course with 18 topics, with my custom pages in the 18th. Then I set the number of topics to 17, and the 18th becomes orphaned. The links are completely hidden, but still accessible via URL.

Folder View doesn't like this, I've discovered. Apparently, if the number of topics in the course settings doesn't match the number of actual topics containing content, it gets . . . confused? The result is that the "Add Topic," "Add Resource," and "Add Block" links on the main course page don't work.

Anyway, I don't know if there's a fix for that that I could implement . . . It's not a complete deal-breaker—I can add resources from individual topic views, and I could always change my number of topics to the full number to add resources, and then toggle it back to n-1 again when I was finished. It would just be more convenient, obviously, if I could get the main page "Add" links to work when I've got orphaned resources.

Oh: I'm on Moodle 2.6.3—I just upgraded, so I'm the latest versions of the Moodlerooms plugins.

Hi Kris. We're running Moodle 2.5.1 and updated the Moodlerooms Framework in order to get Folder View format to function properly. We're running into problems moving files within this format though. The workaround is to switch to Topics view in order to move files. This seemingly is the only issue we've experienced with the plugin and Moodle 2.5.

I'll try to go through and check to see if there are any other database references.

It wasn't working before I deleted the Efolio assignments. So either way the functionality wasn't working previously. I'll continue looking at it.

Hi Daniel - We've never seen that error message before. I imagine that the root cause is related to the fact that you've tried to cleanup the eFolio assignment records from the database. In general, this is not a good practice because you can cause all sorts of problems with records that are expected to be there that have suddenly gone missing. Did you also clean the eFolio assignments from the course modules and related course sections tables? In this case, I would guess that the course section is referring to a course module that points to an assignment record that doesn't exist when it's expected to.

I'm receiving this error in the console now when viewing the course from the main overview.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'plug' of null yui_combo.php?moodle/1373990859/format_folderview/sectiontoggle/sectiontoggle.js:95

I can't seem to isolate the cause it is only affecting certain courses on a portal utilizing the folderview format.

The course had Moodle Room's E-Folio assignment types in there that I removed from the mdl_assignment, mdl_grade_items table to make sure they weren't causing a conflict. If you can shed any light it I would be very thankful.

I'm using these versions:

My Moodle build is Moodle 2.4.3+ (Build: 20130405)

I'm using these versions of the necessary plugins

Folder View - Version 2013021200
MR Framework - 2010090201

You had provided the updated Moodle Room Framework and you changed the framework version # from 2010090200 to 2010090201
