Hi @Yinghong,
Have you upgraded the plugin and purged the cache yet?
If you’ve already done that and the error still occurs, could you please share the full error message?
The plugin is working fine on our site and for other users, so we’ll need a bit more information to investigate further.

2.4 on Moodle 5.1 now solved categorie problem, thanks a lot, but when i try to embed the question, it shows "invalidparameter", still not working? do you have any idea?

Hi @Al and @Joseph, Just to confirm that we are currently rewriting Embed questions for Moodle 5.0. I can't state a release date as it's still early days for us at the moment (and we move to Moodle 5.0.x in December).

What makes you think so? As fas as I know this plugins does NOT work on Moodle 5. I'm looking forward to a compatible new version...

I hope you are well, it's been ages. Embedded Question Filter appears to work on Moodle 5. Could you update the supported extension on your end to Moodle 5 so that it installs automatically each week when we update our Moodle instance? It saves us so much time. Cheers.

Hi, any update on the publishing date of https://moodle.org/plugins/tiny_embedquestion - for Moodle 4.5 at least? We'll be transferring to Moodle 4.5 within days, and would also like to finally change the default editor from Atto to TinyMCE.

Hi @Joseph Rézeau, There are Core changes in Moodle 5.0 that stop Embed Questions from working (I think that the course question category no longer exists). We're currently publishing our plugins for M4.5, then working on M5.0 stuff.

Currently the filter_embedquestion plugin does not work at all on any of my Moodle local sites: 4.4; 4.5 and, of course 5.0). It installs OK, I can view the settings. I have question bank categories with an idnumber , and within those categories I have questions with their own idnumber... but I do not see embedquestion in the Insert object list in the TinyMCE editor. I have also added the associated Atto editor plugin and checked all the settings... nothing works.
I am pretty sure I could get it to work just before I upgraded my Moodle to 4.5.4 from previous version (4.5.3?).
Any help appreciated.

Just a note here that recently several other TinyMCE plugins have been updated , following Moodle 5 core's integration of https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-84884 ("The Tiny plugin "use" capabilities are defined in the wrong context level"). Could be that this also concerns the tiny_embedquestion plugin.

Sorry I am nagging, it's just there are 3 embedded question plugins, they all work with moodle 4.5., but I have to install them manually every week.
Please can you change your supported version to moodle 4.5 or 5 so that when we install moodle each week, it auto installs, this would save a lot of time. Thank you. Sorry again.

Hello @chrisnelson , thank you for this great news and the perspective to receive your update soon. Currently there are 2 bigger german universities that ask me for a release schedule of this plugins and a date when we can fix this issue on their servers. Could you possible tell me a date, that i can give to my customers, approximately whenabouts a release is probable? Thank you VERY much!
