Hello!

The multiembedded filter was responsible for a problem with Moodle 4.1.4: When plugin changes were made, the menus, such as the website administration, disappeared. When we took the filter out, that was no longer the case. We have php 8.1.25. Are there others already having this problem?

Hi @Eric and @Joseph, thank you for the kind words - glad you find the plugin useful. The nature and scope of my job have changed quite a bit in August 2020, and I must admit that I struggle to find time to keep the plugin updated. I will see if I can do it this summer. Hopefully it shouldn't be too much work. Fingers crossed. @Lance, I will see what I can do.

Agree! This filter ROCKS! Makes it super easy for students and teachers to automatically embed content--as simple as copy and pasting a link!

Also was wondering if you might have time to update your plugin for 3.9 since it is a LTS version (long term support)?

Your filter should be part of the Moodle core--thank you again for sharing your great work with the Moodle community!

Frederic, I don't understand how your plugin isn't *VASTLY MORE RECOGNIZED.* It's exactly what actual teachers need to build interactive courses. The education specific services you've chosen to support like Canva, Desmos, etc, make all the difference. Are you intending to maintain this plugin for the Moodle 4 update?

Hey Fred,
First a big thank you - the filter rocks! We just upgraded to Moodle 3.10 and noticed something curious that seems to be Multi-Embed Filter (MEF) related - when inserting a Youtube url into a page, with the MEF on, the page will open in a pop-out, easily embed and play the YouTube video, but when you close the popout while the video is playing, the video will continue to play as if the page was still open. This doesn't happen if you make the YouTube url a link before saving the page however. It is not a huge workaround but if there is an easy fix then that would be great Cheers!

Hi Fred: Congrats on the new job--they are lucky to have you onboard! Adding on Multi-Filter embed of Office365 would be amazing--that would be great for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more importantly OneNote for teachers and students since the OneNote ClassNotebook add-in gives teachers a lot of flexibility and convenience currently not offered by any other tool! OneNote ClassNotebook allows teachers to easily distribute sections and pages of materials to students, and as soon as students ink it automatically syncs and submits there work in an organized fashion not currently available with other tools! Coupled with your filter and leveraging Moodle, this would be a dangerous tool to unleash during this crazy time of remote learning!!!!

@Joe really glad you find the filter useful. I now work at a school that offers Microsoft 365, so I should be able to add support in the next release
