This plugin is for the WinCache PHP extension to provide "phpinfo()" style information and statistics about WinCache usage. It is basically the WinCache statistics page converted into a Moodle plugin to provide easy access from within the Site Administration menu. This is a great addition if you use the Moodle Universal Cache (MUC) WinCache Store to monitor its usage. However, WinCache settings will still need to be changed in your php.ini file.

Ryan, any updates for Newer Moodles? or will it work for any? additionally can you build something like opcache code as well to integrate into Moodle?

We actually had to disable WinCache, it was causing hard crashes for some reason on our server. Others have used it fine, so it seems like something specific to our server. No updates from me regarding this plugin. Not sure if it works properly on the latest Moodle version, but I would have tried it with 2.7 without Moodle issues (server crash is with PHP). I try it out every summer when I do the annual Moodle maintenance, and will be again this July.

Hello Ryan, sorry for bothering again, as with WinCache 2.0.0.6 (Latest build for PHP 7.x), WinCache plug-in works fine (tested on Moodle 3.0.3 with PHP 7.0.3 x64), and even to some extent this stats plug-in works apart from OpCache tab and Summary for both giving error to ocache plug-in reference, as Opcache has been removed from WinCache since version 2.0.x.x is it possible to modify the plug-in pulling information from OpCache or even removing it all together? As I am going to do the video tutorial using your both plug-ins shortly, so if possible want to do it with everything working. I have had a look at he code prior to sending message thinking that if I can make changes, but as I am not PHP developer so hadn't had a clue.
    Thanks!

It seems like Ryan Panning is no longer using Moodle so this plugin has probably been abandoned. (See https://github.com/Panman8201/moodle-cachestore_wincache/issues/2)
