The plugin offers a convenient way to switch editor/ajax setting in your user profile on/off without having to edit the whole profile.

This quick editor on/off switch may be useful when adding/editing content in resources and activities, which the html editor's filters may muck up (such as css and javascript).

    Hi Itamar,
The spanish translation for the language strings for this plugin are already in AMOS (and the language pack updates) and they work well. Other translators will be able to translate to many more languages.

    Thanks again

Very useful plugin. But It does not work in Moodle 2.3.6+. Plugin is installed, but I do not see the switches. I tried Firefox and IE10.

It would help if, in the README file - you noted that it had to go in the local/ folder (I didn't spot this initially so of course it failed trying to install in the mod/ folder). That aside, it seems OK (test 2.3.1. environment - same version as on our live server) - it is also working on our test 2.4.1 installation (which is good as we plan to move to this version over summer)

Thanks David and I will update the readme accordingly. The moodle docs for this plugin are linked from this page and include an installation section that states " Unzip into the 'local' subfolder of your Moodle install". smile

Just installed this in 2.5.2. Took me a while to figure out where the settings were, because it doesn't appear where all of the instructions indicate. Then, I couldn't figure out the difference between turn editor on/off and turn AJAX on/off. Then, when I turned off AJAX, because that's the main reason I'm installing this, it APPEARED to make no difference, because I expected to see the up/down icons, rather than the drag & drop icon (which I now realize is a "MOVE" icon, not a drag and drop). Once I realized that, I realized it worked. But I still don't know the difference between the editor and the drag and drop, so I'm going to have to play around to figure it out.

I guess my point is that the 2.5 documentation really needs to be updated.

Update: I have now figured out the difference between the editor and the AJAX. My bad.

Just fixed a very minor issue for Moodle 2.6. The updated code is available on the 'source control url' link, above.

Hi , Is this plugin available for 2.7? I have tried it on 2.7, seems to work nearly ok but the "turn editor on/off" generate an error : "Error writing to database". - Is there a way to just get rid of the link"turn editor off" to avoid issues?

    Many Thanks
