This plugin is up for adoption, please see 'Plugins adoption programme'.

NOTE: The format uses a 'cookie' which is potentially against new UK / EU Cookie Laws, please uninstall and upgrade to 'Collapsed Topics' which incorporates functionality to support this law and a 'week' based layout.  Please see http://docs.moodle.org/en/Collapsed_Topics_course_format#Changing_the_look for more information.

All development of this specific format has now ceased as its functionality has been subsummed within 'Collapsed Topics', please use that format instead.  The code is left here for reference.

A week based format that solves the issue of the 'Scroll of Death' when a course has many weeks. All weeks have a toggle that displays that week. The current week is displayed by default. One or more weeks can be displayed at any given time. Toggles are persistent on a per browser session per course basis but can be made to perist longer by a small code change. Full installation instructions, code adaptions and credits are included in the 'readme.txt' file.

The course format has been translated into Russian language and fixed some issues (especially in grid format). Download: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/51246684/format.zip

Would like to know if there is a date for a version release that supports Moodle 2.3? Looks like it is only backwards compatible from Moodle 2.2. The following error ocurrs when selecting "Collapsed Weeks" for any given course: "Call to undefined function course_get_display()".

    Thanks.

    Dear Joshua,

Please use the 'Weeks' layout in Collapsed Topics for Moodle 2.3 instead as mentioned in the description. I have left the code here for reference in case anybody wanted to adapt it for their own purpose as it's simpler than the layout structure code. However it is easier for me to maintain in one format than two without duplicating many similar sections of code.

    Cheers,

    Gareth

    Estimado Gareth:
(As you replied in Spanish showing a remarkable knowledge of the language, I take for granted that you speak Spanish).

Thank you very much for sharing with the community this course format.

Estoy buscando la opción de ´Editing´ (same option that for ´Collapsed topics´course), pero no puedo encontrarla.

    Am I missing something?
How can I remove the word ´toggle´ from the weeks ?
    Muchas gracias

    Dear Aaricia,

Sorry I don't speak Spanish, I used Google Translate!

Lo siento, no hablo español, he usado Google Translate!

There is no option for editing in Collapsed Weeks as I have said above:

'All development of this specific format has now ceased as its functionality has been subsummed within 'Collapsed Topics', please use that format instead. The code is left here for reference.' Because I wanted people to be able to adapt the code for their own purposes if they wanted to.

However, Collapsed Topics does have a 'Weeks' mode and you can remove the word 'Weeks' in that as you say - http://docs.moodle.org/23/en/Collapsed_Topics_course_format#Changing_the_look

    Saludos cordiales / Kind regards,

    Gareth

Thanks, I did not know that it was as simple as changing to ´Weeks´ instead of ´Topics´.

As a matter of fact, it was one of my colleague who first saw the video and sent the link to me.
