    Hi.
    It does not work:
    Debug info: Missing version.php file.
    Stack trace:
    line 601 of /lib/upgradelib.php: plugin_defective_exception thrown
    line 273 of /lib/upgradelib.php: call to upgrade_plugins_blocks()
    line 1440 of /lib/upgradelib.php: call to upgrade_plugins()
    line 269 of /admin/index.php: call to upgrade_noncore()

    Anyway, it is a great effort!!

    Sorry, I forget the moodle version: 2.2.1.

    I am having problems with both versions.
    - Moodle 1.9.16
    - Moodle 2.2.1+

    Having read the instructions:
    1. The plugin successfully shows on Modules.
    2. I successfully create an Application ID with a secret Key.
    3. I successfully created an impersonation account via powershell.
    3. Then when I try to add the block:
    a. In the 1.9.16 the add block menu dissapears.
    b. In the 2.2.1+ I receive an error page.

    Furthermore under authentication nothing regarding live id is displayed!

    Ideally I want to enable two simple things:

    1. Turn on the block on both versions.
    2. Authenticate via Windows Live ID (Live@edu)

    Has anyone tried the plugins and has a success story to share?

    Thanks in advance

    I was able to turn on the block on both versions...
    However the authentication returns me a 500 Internal Error...
    Any ideas on what could be wrong?

    I was having the same problems with it not installing but then noticed the files were encrypted (if you extract them on a Windows machine you'll see the file names are in green).

    I removed the encryption (right click, Properties, Advanced, untick "Encrypt contents to secure data" and apply to all subfiles and folders) then the block installed OK.

    If you're uploading to a Linux server I'd do this on a Windows machine then zip the files back up and then upload using the new archive you just created...

    Haven't tried the authentication yet.

    Hi,
    I have it working sort of.. If I log in manual way, the block will give the error of:

    It says Warning: Windows Live ID does not match the authenticated user account.
    how ever when I log in with windows ID as the authentication then the block works.

    So it sort of works for me. Tried on 2.1 and 2.2

    Block and authentication is working for me but one odd bug is that the impersonation account details don't save after being filled in (fields go back to being blank?)

    Please update this plugin to allow it to work side by side with LDAP authentication rather than forcing LiveID authentication. I'd like to use Live Services with Active Directory on Moodle and turn 3 logins (Live, Moodle, AD) into just 1 Single Sign On Active Directory login. Thanks!
