This very simple block allows a more flexible possibility in
outputing HTML content to users in a course.

The bloc allows outputing distinct content for any group setup
in the course.

The bloc has a "match all" case being printed first, and allows
also giving an extra information to people being "out of groups"

The Moodle 2.x versions are the result of the French state level project "ENTLibre 2.0" Of the National Funding program "Investissement d'Avenir"

    Austin,

I installed the plug-in in moodle 2.5 and it works just showing the group for each studant, but for me that was what I wanted.

I have only to change in the folder plug in the name of the directory en-utf8 to en

and then put a php file with a version of the plugin.

This block is very useful for providing additional support to lower level students (for example, on quizzes) without making things too easy for more able learners. One issue I've noticed is that the contents of the blocks don't appear in courses restored from a back-up. This is unfortunate because we back-up all of our courses from a template. At the moment we must add content to the HTML (per group) block individually in each course. Is there any chance that this will be addressed in future versions of the block?

Hi, actually this is due to a lack of implementing sufficient content reencoding on restore. Content is there at restore, but mapped to original groupids that do not any more exist in restored volume. I'm checking how easy is to manage content restore and group reencoding in blocks. Will be planned to be adressed in the summer work (or before if easier).

Thank you for replying. I am very happy to hear that you plan to address this issue in the summer. Blocks like HLTM per group are so useful because they allow teachers to offer appropriate support for different levels of users. I look forward to using the block more in the future. Thank you!

I've gave it a go testing this with Moodle v2.9 but no luck. Plugin installs but when adding a block there's a coding error.

Looks like a really good idea for a plugin so a v2.9 or v3 version would be awesome

    Salut,
J'envisage d'utiliser ce plugin mais malheureusement je suis en 4.3+. Est-il prévu une mise à jour?
    Merci
    Bonne journée
