Rocket is a professional high customisable theme for those who wish their Moodle site to look less moodley. It is a fixed width theme with multiple block locations.

As this is an advanced theme using some very new Moodle 2 functions (I don't think used yet in other themes) I strongly recommend reading the documemtation via the link below.

A demo of this theme in action can be seen at

Please view the sample screenshot below to see an image identifying key theme features.

Should you have issues with the using the theme, please post your comments in the forums. If you have a bug or a patch, please post these in the Moodle Tracker using the link below

All the issues covered here should now be covered on the latest Update now released for 2.5. Please ensure you upgrade asap.

    Hi Everyone
Great theme. I've been using it for over a year now. However, with my recent upgrade to rocket for moodle version 2.5 moments ago (about 10:30 UTC-4 ... 7/10/2013) I realized that the LOGIN BLOCK is on the RIGHT side of the front page. Previously it was on the LEFT. When I navigate to site administration/plugins/blocks/manage blocks...I realise that the login block is protected or locked. Clicking on the lock icon does nothing.
Is there a way to change the position of this login field to the LEFT SIDE of the front page.
PS: With editing turned on, the login block is nowhere to be found on the front page (I am using Moodle 2.5+ (Build: 20130621))

Hello I have an issue with the rocket theme. I downloaded and
installed in my moodle theme directory then ran the upgrade, when I go to change themes the browse goes to a blank screen and just sits there. Inorder to correct this I have to go to the index.php and uninstall rocket. I have installed several themes and have had no trouble with them I have tried to install rocket several times with the same results. Does anyone know if this is a common problem and is there a fix for it.

Running the latest version. The My courses dropdown list only works on the My Home page which sort of defeats the object as there are links to the courses there anyway! What can I do to enable the My Courses dropdown throughout the site?

    Hi, Julian and Mary.
Please, could you tell me which version can I use with Moodle 2.4?
In "Download versions" I've seen that version 2.3 is for Moodle 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. Version 2.5 is for Moodle 2.5. But I couldn't find a specific version for Moodle 2.4.
    Thanks a lot.

    Dear Julian and Mary,

I am about to upgrade my Moodle site to 2.6, I've been using the Rocket theme to great effect with Moodle 2.4. I see that the latest version of Rocket supports Moodle 2.5, can you tell me if it will also work on 2.6 or if there is an update planned? Thanks.

I've been using Moodle 2.6. Is the theme compatible with this version? I install it but it seems to have some issues. Does someone use it with this version?

Did you recreate the frontpage like the screenshot? I cannot integrate the search box and the sidebar menu? Could you?

I just copied the entire folder over with my added images etc. No issues at all. I have never been able to figure out what plugin they are using for the global search bar - would love to have that working.

I upgraded to Moodle 2.6 the add file button disappears as the theme page loads in site administration for adding the banner and logo images. The download button remains but not the add file button.
