Moove frontpage

The new theme is more robust and standardized, texts, backgrounds, and fonts are uniform and enjoyable.

You can directly login to the environment, no more redirects, but if you like, the login page was customized and it is awesome too.

Accessibility features

  • Font type — currently there are only options to choose between the default font and the OpenDyslexic font. This is a new open-source font created to increase readability for readers with dyslexia.
  • Enable accessibility toolbar — the bar has options for increasing and decreasing the site font size, and 3 different types of text contrast can be chosen.

The accessibility bar was inspired by the accessibility block, but all javascript has been rewritten, along with how the stylesheets are displayed.

When enabled, the accessibility bar is displayed at the top of the site, as you can see below.

Moodle is awesome, but we can be better together!

With a lot of enhanced pages and new features

Exclusive certificates page

Moove has a new and exclusive page where your users can see all issued certificates. The theme works with the Simple Certificate and Custom Certificate modules.

After updating theme to the latest version, a problem appeared: the "Certificates" menu in the left panel disappeared. Can't find it anywhere.
We use the "user certificate" functionality, and this is important for us. Who faced the same or can suggest? How to return a menu section? I will be immensely grateful!

    Hello Willian,
Thank you so much for you theme, which I've been using for several months now and is really great !
Since the last update, the "my courses root node" is visible in the drawer (that's quite nice :D), but its' language can't be changed. My site is in french, and with other themes (boost/academi) the language does change, but not with the Moove Theme.
Do you have any clue about how to correct this ?
Again, thank you so much for your work !

Hi Willian, after we applied the latest version to our production setup, we discovered a nasty bug. This is not 100% confirmed as this is the cause, but it seems that if a person has more than 10 courses enrollments, it cannot login to the Moodle. Gives this error:
    Debug info: ORA-01722: invalid number
    SELECT * FROM m_course WHERE id = :o_id
    [array (
    'o_id' => 'courseindexpage',
    Error code: dmlreadexception

    line 2807 of /lib/weblib.php: call to bootstrap_renderer->__call()
line 93 of /course/loginas.php: call to notice()

We checked and if we downgrade to the latest 3.9 version, which was what we had installed previous, everything works fine. So it must be something in the latest version (3.11)

    Thank you.

Helder Pereira, I just updated the theme source code. Could you please update your environment from the github and give me the feedback?

Alexander Olgin, certificates menu item is only displayed when you have simplecertificate or customcert installed on your moodle.
  • Tue, Jul 13, 2021, 6:30 PM
Hi Willian. First of all, thank you for you work! Thanks for solution. But we have mod_customcert installed and it works successfully. Students receive their certificates. Students and teachers recive notifications by email. However, after installing the latest version of the theme on moodle 3.11, the menu item disappeared administrators and users cannot view it. So I think this is some kind of bug with menu displaying.

  • Sat, Jul 17, 2021, 6:20 AM
    Hi Julia,

Yes, I pretend to keep updating the theme.
As you can see, the theme was launch in 2017, and from there I've adding versions for all Moodle Versions.
The next Moodle version will be 4.0, with a lot of modifications on UI and UX modifications. So, for this version, I think I will have too much work to do, but I absolutely will add a version of Moove for this version too.

Alexander Olgin, thank you. I will update the theme here on too.
  • Mon, Jul 19, 2021, 4:45 PM
Thanks a lot for your answer, I didn't know I could do this. It worked perfectly ;)
Be well, and may the Force be with you.

There is a problem with the navbar and it is that having several add-ons in the courses, for example a mod_Certified, this is superimposed on the accessibility button and does not allow the mobility of these elements.
