What is new

Thanks to the interview David Mudrák and Tim Hunt gave me a hint to be able to store user preferences to save the state of lateral blocks. Because of that, if you hide the lateral blocks, them will remain hidden the next time you go back to that specific page.

Thanks a lot to Barbara Ramiro and David for their suggestions, I will try to improve everything you said.

I've reinstalled theme_archaius as a part of an upgrade process and now I'm missing the Custom CSS field.

Before the update, the theme settings appeared on one page, now the components are displayed on as separate pages: Logos, Layout, Footer, Slideshow, Effects, Social. None of them have the Custom CSS field in the UI.

I've cleared the theme cache as well.

    Can you repair this problem?

    Thank you so much!

Hi Daniel, I have finished building Moodle now and I must say I really do love this theme, thank-you for making this accessible smile

    Just a quick update so you can see what I mean;

the log in box in the top right corner isn't visible due to being white text and the rest of the text on the page is also white, I've tried in CSS but it wont allow me to change anything so if you do get chance this weekend i would really appreciate it

    Once again thankyou Daniel

    Hi Adam,

OH I see!, no problem, let me work on it, I can tell you how you can fix it with custom css, but I prefer to implement a better solution (put an option in one settings page) and release it. Seems that I am going to have a 'Moodle's saturday',

    Best regards,

BTW, if you like the theme, you can click the little heart below the name of the theme, it helps a lot to make the theme more visible (it is like a facebook like).

    Hi Daniel,

on the login page of the moodle i've enabled self enrolment and the login container isn't being extended to fit the extra information which comes with enabling the self enrolment option.

just wondering how would i go about extending the container so the self enrolment fits properly.

    Thank you

Hi Daniel, you did a great job with this theme, congratulations!

I have some questions about this theme.. I would like you to answer me.

Archaius meets the requirements of responsiveness and configurations for 2.8 platform?

    Thank you.

    Hi Julio,

Sadly, I don't have a short answer for your question.

I still saying that the maturity of my theme is BETA. It is because, even though I have been testing my theme for a long time, I am a single person developing this theme without use any framework for testing (to write acceptance test, integration test), so, I don't have enough proves to say my theme is completely solid. Even having the time to write a good test suite, I can not be sure that a platform which use my theme is completely responsive, because I can't control the content and plugins people use.

I used to use to test my theme in several browsers and devices. I did it as part of my master tesis, but using a theme I build for a company that is part of my home university ( That "manual" testing was great because I was able to prove that my theme was working in very old browsers.

    What I offer

My whole master thesis was about building e-learning platforms trying to prevent as much as possible usability problems in self-conducted courses, that includes the prevention of problems with responsiveness. Nowadays I am working on improving my theme for conducted courses, my goal is to improve the teacher tools, like the grade book. My point here is that I will be glad to try to fix any problem you find in my free time.

If you want you can test my theme, checks if it meets your expectations. You can report any problem to, I will be glad to help you in my free time (sometimes it takes a while because I can work on my theme when I have free time, because I have a job that pay for my house, food, etc. So, My job is a priority :P)

My theme doesn't use any framework like bootstrap, foundation, etc. It is because when I decided to make my theme responsive I decided to prove that you can create a responsive application without have to use a framework that sometimes offers more things that the things you really need.

But, I used fluid layout and a very reduced version of a grid system to make my theme responsive.

Hope this helps you (I know it is not a good answer for your question I just don't want to lay),

Pd. If you want to yo can ask more using the contact for of my blog: (spanish, english)

    Hi Danyal,

mmm it is rare, because I set the width of the login box base don the 'registerauth' option, (if you use the admin search you will find de option). It makes the container be bigger when self enrolment is enabled. I tested it in moodle 2.9, are you using version 2.9?

You can clear cache (purge all cache ) after enable self enrolment, just in case, but it works for me without have to purge all cache, probably because I am in development mode.
