This is a simple report which displays the user pictures for everyone enrolled in the given course.

You can install it using git. In the top-level folder of your Moodle install, type the command: git clone git:// report/roster

Then visit the admin screen to allow the install to complete.

Once the plugin is installed, you can access the functionality by going to Reports > Roster within the course.

There are two options when viewing the roster. One is to toggle the "Learning mode," which turns the display of names on and off. The other is a "Printable" view, which brings up a version of the report suitable for printing.

Hi AM Sanat, there's no option in the report itself (at this time) to display anything other than the user's fullname. Clicking on the profile picture does give you the full profile. If you need more detailed information about all the users collectively then the built-in Participants list is more suitable. The current display mode doesn't scale well if you add more than the fullname to this report.

That said if you want to change what's displayed the relevant place is line 52 on index.php. I'm happy to review patches on github (see source control link above).

    Hi Charles Fulton
    Thanks for your help
I add this to line 53 on index.php
    $item .= html_writer::tag('span', username($user));
I hope "username" of user must be print
    But it doesn't work
Do you have an idea to help me for this?

I want to use this plugin, and add some other field to it (like username)
Then print it, and for final exam, tag it to Chair
And student can sit down on own Chair

Hi Alex, you can already export a list of users from the gradebook in the course. Does that meet your needs?

    Hi Charles.
I know but the problem is that the picture will not download and I need just the name and photograph.
    Thank you very much

I love this add-on! I have recently started using Groups in my courses. Any chance we could see a group dropdown filter? I'm not savvy with php programming or I'd attempt it myself.

I second Sam's comment of a group filter. Would be a really great addition to a great tool. Thanks Charles.

    Hi ! Thanks for this.

Why don't you merge this plugin with Faces ? (and with attendance plugin by the way ? ^^)

    Great plugin. Allready very helpful.
What I'm looking for is an option to learn my student names just like with flashcards: Profile-Picture as question - lastname as answer. An not allways beginning with name a-z but shuffeld. Any hint how to do that? In Moodle? With export via Excel to a flashcard-App?

Thanks for this useful plugin. We've used Roster with 3.5 this year, but our faculty find it a bit cumbersome. We had a homegrown "name quiz" solution that presented student photos, one at a time, in random order minus names for faculty to quiz themselves. They loved this method of learning student names for their face-to-face courses, but we've moved away from this in favor of Roster. Any chance a change to your plugin along these lines is in the works? Thanks!

Hi Ben, I can see how that would be a useful feature. We don't currently have plans to take Roster in that direction, but it's something we'll keep in mind.
