    Hi Freddie
Which version of the app are you running? It should work with the latest and the previous, but just to check. Also which version of Moodle are you running? You can see it in action at and you can login as username=s1 password=test

In the past I have seen issues where the app doesn't recognise that there is a new plugin available and you may need to go to App settings synchronisation. I think that re-downloads all the javascript stuff.

    Hi Marcus
It's strange I am using the latest version of the app (the one that was updated just a few days ago) and the latest version of gapfill (the one you released today). I have synched the app with the website but the same problem. I am using Moodle 3.5.1 and an IPhone SE

    Hi Marcus,
Help appreciated. I've just installed the plugin in moodle 3.5 using the install link instead of downloading the file. Problem is, when I try to add an activity, this plugin does not show in the list of available activities. Am I missing something?

It is a question type not an activity, you need to use it like any other question type.

Marcus, good afternoon. Thank you for your attention about the message responded yesterday. Today, I have a little problem with dragdrop option.
I created a table where there is cell with words / sentences to be filled by dragdrop option. The last sentence into the table to be fill have a problem with the correct match.

Regardless of the word or phrase to be filled in the cell, the system always indicates error. I describe below the html code I am using. Thanks for your attention one more time. If you find any inconsistency in the code let me know, please.
    Bellow V1 speed
    1. [Thrust Levers] [Idle] 1P
    2. [Wheels Brakes] [Apply] 1P
    3. [Spoilers] [Extend] 1P

    Above V1 speed
    1. Rudder & Ailerons As Req'd 1P
    2. Accelerate to Vr, keep nose wheel on runway 1P
    3. [Rotate at Vr; Climb at V2] 1P
    4. [Positive rate of climb estabilished] [Gear up] 2P
    5. Clear of Obstacles [V2  30; Flaps Up] 2P

Sorry Marcos, to be more precise, the error in the gapfill is in the following construction: [V2 + 30; Flaps Up]

Hi Marcus, recently I've been trying to attach some pictures to my exercises but it shows me this PLUGINFILE
    /walks%20to%20school.jpg" alt="" width="180" height="141" /> instead of the pictures.
can you tell me how to fix this.
    thanks in advance

Hi everyone! I am having a weird problem. Gapfill is adding a paragraph after every gapfill I create. I think it started happening since I upgraded to moodle 3.7. because it was not happening before. Look at the following example:
    what I type:
    What the end user sees:

Can you export to xml and email a copy to me at and can you send a list of all the filters you have enabled on the course (if you have html tidy turned on, can you try turning it off)

    Good Morning Mr. Marcus Green.

I have been used your plugin for last six months and so far I had no problems. After I update my System, the Google Chrome (Version 77.0.3865.90 64 bits) started to place the distractors words on line, ignoring page boundaries, as you can see in the attachments.

This problem does not occur with the Firefox browser, version 50 (Old Version)

    Apahis problem noche 2.4.28 (Debian)
    Php 7.3.4-2
    Debian 10 (Buster)
    MariaDB 10.3.15 Database Server
Google Chrome Version 77.0.3865.90 64 bits

    Hi Marcus,
great plugin, exactly what I was looking for.
However, I have the same problem as Leandro if I use the latest Opera. No problem on the latest Firefox though.
    Any solution ? thanks

Hi Denis, glad you like it. There was an issue with the way the Chrome rendering engine works, and I think Opera uses that engine. I have released a version that works around it and you can read about it (and test the new version) here
Let me know if that is the issue.
