It works nicely, but I actually hoped it would be an activity for participants to create their own mindmaps and show them.

    Hi, Isabelle.

I don't think students can "create" their own mindmaps, but the teacher can create a mindmap activity that students can edit collaboratively. That's what makes this activity great.

Please help. I created the mindmap and had a training with teachers as my "students". I created 2 different maps so that I could have 3 teachers on each map. They were all able to edit the map but after they saved only the nodes from one person actually stayed. How do I get the map to actually keep the nodes from each person assigned to that map.

    Thank you.

Is it necessay to change a setting to allow students to edit the mindmap? Something with editing embedded code?

    Hi Isabelle!
You have to tick the Editable box, so that students can edit the mindmap. I will fix the language string in the next update to be more clearer.

    Could you help me
I have updated the mindmap module and I can't upgrade it. Instead appears a message like (Field "course" already exists) and (Debug info:
    Error code: ddlfieldalreadyexists)
    What should I do?

Are you upgrading from Moodle 1.9? Which was the previous version of mindmap in your system?

    Hi Tönis,
    This is a great plugin.

I think it will be even better if you add the following English language string along the lines of:

    $string['modulename_help'] = ' Mindmap module allows you to create and save simple mindmaps from within moodle.';

The modulename_help string is the explanation a teacher gets when he chooses to add an activity by way of the activity chooser in Moodle 2.3 upwards. Most Moodle core plugins and many addons already have such a string.

I hope you can add this new english language string.

Thanks in advance for your help.

do you have any plans to update this to work with Moodle 2.5? If so, any idea on when this would happen?

    thanks
