## Activities: Certificate

mod_certificate
Maintained by Mark Nelson
This module allows for the dynamic generation of certificates based on predefined conditions set by the teacher. NOTE: This plugin is no longer receiving any new features. Only bug fixes are being applied. I have been working on a new plugin which can be located at https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_customcert which allows complete customisation of the PDF via the browser, whereas this plugin requires FTP and PHP knowledge. Both plugins can be installed on a site at once with no issues.

Hi, when i generate the certificate, it downloads blank .pdf. What could be the reason? Am I doing something wrong? I am using Moodle 3.1.8. Is that the reason? Thanks

Hi, i have a query about generating certificate just after course completion. I want to know how can we generate a certificate if any student attends and qualify a course?

This is a bit freak because it only happens in two moodle installations in two diferent servers (the same in both):

- Moodle 3.0 (with mod certificate 2015111602)
- Moodle 3.4 (with mod cetificate 2016052300)

In the rest of the installations in the same servers works perfectly, would someone know why it could be? I have been testing for a long time and I have not found the solution.

Thank you very much.

Hi, we have been advised to contact you regarding this plugin, to find out if it is GDPR compliant? Many thanks

Hi Penny,

This plugin is not GDPR compliant. However, if someone wants to create a privacy provider I will happily merge it.

Just a note - https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_customcert is GDPR compliant.

My institution is using the old version of the plugin. We are having trouble with the logo pixelating. Is there a way to hack the plugin to allow svg files?

Hi, I configured the Certificate to be delivered by email and it works fine, but the sender email is showing my name. I want the sender to be the generic learning environment or anything that can be configured.

Hi!, I have been using this certificate for long time. I do have one question: Is there a way to modify the code to print a topic name instead of the course? For instance, I have several changing topics inside a course, that i'd rather have them printed. So the code may look like the following:

$string['certify'] = 'This is to certify that';$string['code'] = 'Code';
$string['completiondate'] = 'Course Completion';$string['course'] = 'For';
$string['coursegrade'] = 'Course Grade';$string['coursename'] = 'Course'; CHANGE THIS FOR TOPIC INSTEAD?

Does this makes sense or is achievable?
