for Moodle

The Remote Learner Adobe Connect Pro activity module provides the officially sponsored integration method between Moodle and Adobe Connect Pro. It was developed in conjunction with the Remote-Learner development team and Adobe Inc. It is designed to simplify the use of synchronous events within Moodle. It provides a single sign on between the two systems with easy event creation and management.

The module allows users to create Adobe Connect Pro meetings by adding an activity instance and providing the meeting name, url (optional), start time, end time, meeting template and a public or private meeting setting.

There is also support for Moodle groups so that users who are only a part of a group can join meetings that are only for their Moodle group.

Any user who creates or joins a meeting will have their account created on the Adobe Connect server (if one doesn't exist) and they will be signed in automatically using HTTP header authentication. So as long as the user is logged into Moodle they will never have to enter in user credentials to get access to an Adobe Connect meeting.

This module creates 3 roles: Adobe Connect Host, Presenter and Participant in Moodle to reflect the roles on the Adobe Connect server. Users can be assigned these roles through Moodle and they will have the corresponding roles on the Adobe Connect server when they join.

The activity module will also display meeting recordings (if there are any) that are available.

    This is fantastic, and I am also delighted to be able to say that my first tentative trials in Moodle 2.5 would indicate that it works here too. Super. Let's keep fingers crossed that it will work in the final 2.5 release. cool

    Would you be able to put the new versions on Github too? Thanks.

    Hi there, I have problem to get back the recording in my testing course room: On my testing server, the latest plugin works fine on my Moodle 2.4.3+ with Adobe Connect 8.2.

    However, once I upgraded Adobe Connect to version 9, the link to the recording on my course room was gone. The physical recorded file still exists in my testing Connect Server.

    Any idea?

    THX. Simon

    One more thing, the roles assigned (Presenter, Host or Participant) after upgraded from Connect 8 to Connect 9 are lost. The host that appears on list has the participant role in the connect meeting room only.

    Okay, so I created a new Connect activity, a new meeting but same result: I put one of the teacher accounts as Host, but this account still has the participant role in Connect meeting room only.

    Hello Simon, there is a known bug with recordings not showing up when using Adobe Connect 9. We are in the process of implementing a fix for this and will hopefully have something in the coming weeks. See

    Also, I don't have an Adobe Connect 9 sandbox to play with yet (not sure when we'll upgrade to Connect 9), so I'm unable to do any personal testing.

    For any bugs using the plug-in with Connect 9, I'll be relying on everyone to test and submit patches (preferably ones that don't break integration with Connect 8 or 7) to the Moodle Tracker.

    Thanks very much!

    In addition, any configuration or settings changes required to get the plug-in to work with Connect 9, I would appreciate everyone sharing your tips and tricks by updating the MoodleDocs page

    Just in case someone else is also having issues on login with "umlaut" in first/surenames. This might fix it.

    Go to your "connect_class_dom.php" line 36.

    change :
    $datahtmlent = htmlentities($data);
    $child = $dom->createElement('param', $datahtmlent );

    //$datahtmlent = htmlentities($data);
    $child = $dom->createElement('param', $data);

    this should fix your login problems with "umlaut".

    we have our own connect server install ver 9 with a licence for 30 hosts. We can manage these hosts through the adobe admin interface as and when needed.

    Having had a couple of plays with the plug in over the past few years, it appears that the capability to map the connect pro system host role to capabilities in the moodle plug in do not exist. Can you confirm if this is the case, or am I missing something? We effectively would need to manage the users with host role from within one of the systems ( system wide role on moodle?) and for this to be mapped over to the other. Hope this makes sense and look forward to your advice.

    Kindest Regards Daran

    I am new at Moodle and i'd like to use Adobe Connect with Moodle. Does this module also work with version 2.5 / 2.6 because it seems like that the latest release was for Moodle 2.4. If not, is there another module which I can use for version 2.5 or 2.6?

    Hope you can help me smile
