General plugins (Local): Boost navigation fumbling
Since the release of Moodle 3.2, Moodle core ships with a shiny new theme called "Boost". While Boost does many things right and better than the legacy theme Clean, it also has some fixed behaviours which don't make sense for all Moodle installations. One of these behaviours is the fact that the look and feel of the nav drawer (the menu which appears when you click on the hamburger menu button) is hardcoded and can hardly be configured by administrators.
Please see README file for details about the usage and features of this plugin.

Does someone know if it is possible to use this plugin to show the courses inside their categories as a node??
Unfortunately, all the features doesn't seems to work on Moodle 3.8.2. You can remove some nodes but can't collapse them. The collapse icon shows up but when you click on it nothing happen. Nothing surprising as the code shows that there's no imbrication in the nav. All menu's items are at the same level.
I recently installed this plugin on Moodle 3.8.3+: there are problems in the menu collapse and some links added for users do not appear. Is there a plugin update planned to make it compatible with Moodle verse 3.8? Thank you.
There is already a discussion about the collapse issue, including a possible patch:
https://github.com/moodleuulm/moodle-local_boostnavigation/issues/49
And that's what Alex (the plugin creator/maintainer) wrote me 10 days ago:
----------------------
"... during the (COVID-19) crisis https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-58964 landed in Moodle core as a bugfix. This will solve all blockers with local_boostnavigation on 3.8 and will also most probably fix all of the 3 issues which you referenced (Github - 36,48,49). It will just take some concentrated coding... It's on my list to finish the plugin upgrade soon, but I can't promise any release date."
On the other hand, if you switch off the collapsing nodes feature, the 3.7 version should also work on 3.8.

Thanks for this great plugin. I am trying to have the menu to show only for users who logged in (irrespective of their role). In Moodle there is a system role, user for all authenticated user, but it seems like when I put user in the role field, it is not working. Any idea on how to display menu for any authenticated user?
1) Since Moodle 3.9 there is new nav drawer item called "Content bank". Could you maybe add the option to hide it as well?
2) If one hides the Dashboard node, the root and course nodes are merged. Can you confirm this?
Re 3.9: Is there any plan to add the 'content bank' link as one of the items to remove from the menu?
