One of the new features available in in Moodle Direct's v2 plugin is the Class Migration Tool. This tool offers the ability to recreate Turnitin classes and assignments in your Moodle environment that may have been created in Turnitin itself or using previous integrations.

This block provides access to the Class Migration Tool and requires the Turnitintooltwo module be installed to function.

This plugin is part of set Turnitin.

Many thanks for sharing this plugin with the Moodle community.

I noticed some validation warnings that I would like to see fixed up:

Maturity information ($plugin->maturity) not found in version.php
Release name ($plugin->release) not found in version.php
Release notes not found (searched for files README, README.*)

Also, it would be good to add the Github repository link -

How would you like issues reported to you - via Github issues? Do you want to use for all 3 plugins? Well I presume that you will be adding the plagiarism plugin to Moodle Plugins (if it is still part of Direct V2).

We will likely want to create a set for the TII plugins to show that they are related and work best when installed together. What is the best name for the set - TurnItIn or iParadigm?

Thanks for your patience as we work through the Moodle Plugins review process. Peace - Anthony

John - As I continue to think about how this is to be implemented, I am wondering if the block, plagiarism and activity module should have the same name (turnitintooltwo). This might help avoid some confusion and clearly connect the three addons. What made me think of this is the current conflict with the plagiarism addon. In some of the documentation it states that V1 and V2 can be installed together (as I read it - this seems to be recommended). However, the V2 plagiarism code would overwrite the code by Dan. I would be interested in your thoughts about the possible advantages and disadvantages of this approach. I have written to Dan to get his input as well. Thanks for your help in thinking through the best way to implement this. Peace - Anthony

John - Another point you may want to give some thought to is that ideally, each plugin would be its own Github repository and follow the recommended naming convention - for example, moodle-mod_turnitintooltwo but I can understand if you prefer to keep them together. One advantage to separating them out would be to use the Github repository to upload versions to Moodle plugins. Peace - Anthony

For now, I am going to mark the plugins as needing more work as we ponder these issues and sort things out a bit.

Hi Rob, yes it should, I'm using it in 3.0 and haven't encountered any problems. We are adding a feature to it so will be releasing an upgrade soon which we'll tag as supporting 3.0.

Can anyone explain what is the meaning of "Linked to Moodle" column and why those instances that are linked to Moodle are not selectable in Turnitin Class Migration ?

Hi Ilya, it means that the Turnitin class you are looking at in the list is already linked to a Moodle course.
